DPK on Film - Rolls 1 & 2 (Kodak Gold 200)

In late January 1987, Francis Kahn, my grandfather, purchased a Pentax K1000 (I know this because he wrote the date on the inside cover of the camera's instruction book). A few days later I was born. Growing up, I have fond memories of my grandfather taking pictures and tinkering with the timer (he never could get it to work just right). When he passed away, the camera was given to me. Now, as I am anticipating the birth of my first child, Eloise Frances, I brushed off the dust of my grandfather's Pentax and decided to load it up with a few rolls of Kodak Gold 200.

Before I got started, I did a lot of research on shooting film. However, I am not a film professional. I'll be stumbling my way from roll to roll while recording the camera settings of each shot and learning all along the way.

I'd like to give a shout out to Mark over at the The Camera Cure for helping me repair some of the light seals on the camera and to the good people over at The Darkroom for doing a great job developing this film. Here are a few of my favorite photos from my first two rolls of Kodak Gold 200 along with the camera's settings for each shot. If anyone has any questions (or tips) I’d love to hear them!
